Get a Dubai Visit or Tourist Visa
First of all, check if you need a visa to travel to Dubai. Based on your nationality, you can obtain a visa on arrival or a prearranged visit or tourist visa.
No need for GDRFA or ICA Approval
Tourists travelling to the UAE don’t need GDRFA or ICA approval. However, passengers from certain countries, including India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia, and Ethiopia, must follow specific protocols.
A Valid Negative Covid-19 Test is Necessary for Passengers from Certain Countries
Passengers travelling from the above-mentioned countries are required to show a valid negative Covid-10 PCR test certificate with a QR code for a test carried out within 48 hours. The validity must be calculated from the time the sample was collected. The test must be conducted by an approved health facility.
Besides, they also need to show a rapid PCR test report with a QR code for a test conducted at the departure airport within 6 hours of departure.
Your certificate must be for only a Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test because Dubai is not accepting other certificates, including antibody tests, NHS COVID tests, Rapid PCR tests, and home testing kits. You cannot use a certificate that has already been presented to travel to another destination for re-entry even if the certificate is still valid.
Must Complete Covid-19 Test on Arrival at Dubai Airport
Passengers from certain countries are required to take another COVID-19 PCR test on arrival at Dubai International Airport. If the test result is positive, you need to stay in isolation and follow the Dubai Health Authority guidelines.
Children under 12 and passengers with a severe or moderate disability are exempt from the PCR test. However, before travelling, all travellers must ensure that they have medical travel insurance with international coverage that also covers COVID-19.
